APPLICATION
Monitoring the Motion of Rotating Machinery
Proximity sensing is used where shaft position and vibration behavior are important indicators of rotating-machine condition. Bently Nevada identifies proximity transducer systems for vibration and position measurement on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor and speed measurement applications.
Where It Fits
The 3300 XL 8 mm platform combines the proximity probe with its associated extension cable and Proximitor sensor. The platform is designed so that probes, extension cables and Proximitor sensors can be interchanged without requiring individual component matching or bench calibration for the sensing surface.
