A Compact Sensor for Machinery-Casing Vibration

The 200150 is a general-purpose, wide-frequency, case-mounted seismic transducer designed for use with Trendmaster ProTIMs. It also operates with the Trendmaster 2000 system and interfaces with compatible acceleration-to-velocity modules and vibration monitors.

The sensor uses a piezoelectric sensing device. Vibration produces a charge within the sensing element, which is electronically converted to a differential voltage proportional to acceleration along the transducer's sensitive axis.

Trendmaster ProTIM

The 200150 is used with the standard acceleration-to-velocity channel type (-01).

MACHINERY
General Applications

The sensor provides machinery-casing acceleration measurement for general monitoring.

MONITORING CHAIN
Acceleration → Velocity

Compatible interfaces include the 200100 flexiTIM, 89130-01 TIM and specified 1900 monitors.

Why vibration changes matter
Common machinery malfunctions such as unbalance and misalignment can originate as changes in rotor vibration. For casing measurements to support overall machine protection, the machine must transmit a significant portion of rotor vibration to the casing or transducer mounting location.
05 / MAINTENANCE CONTEXT

When This Part Becomes a Critical Spare

A 200150 replacement is commonly considered when a vibration-monitoring channel requires restoration of its acceleration measurement chain. The sensor should be matched with the correct Trendmaster interface, mounting arrangement, cable and monitoring configuration.

An incorrect sensor or incorrect channel configuration can produce inaccurate vibration data. Installation location is equally important: mounting on the bearing housing or machine casing must provide an effective transmission path for the vibration being monitored.

STOPPAGE RISK
Loss of reliable vibration data
A failed or mismatched accelerometer can interrupt the intended condition-monitoring measurement chain and reduce the availability of useful machinery vibration data.
