BS206 is the six-position carrier for a compact Bachmann M200 station. It forms the mechanical and electrical base for the installed controller and I/O modules; it is not a CPU, power supply, or signal-processing module.

The backplane distributes the internal station connection across six positions. Station design still requires a compatible controller or power-capable module, supported M200 I/O modules, correct slot planning, and the prescribed protective-earth arrangement.

03 Plan slot occupation, controller location, power demand, grounding, and cabinet clearance before assembly.

Can BS206 replace BS205 without redesign?
Not automatically. BS206 adds one position, so cabinet space, mounting points, station layout and power planning must be checked.

Does BS206 operate as an M200 controller?
No. It is the carrier and internal station base. Processing is supplied by the compatible controller installed in the station.

Are BS206, BS206 CC, BS206/E and BS206/S direct equivalents?
No. They belong to the same size family but have different version identities. Match the installed suffix and order number.
