DCO-02C is ABB’s “C-coated”, medium-distance DDCS fiber-optic board that clicks onto the RMIO/BCU inside any ACS800 drive. It gives you one 5 MBd plastic/HCS channel for clean, EMI-proof data up to several hundred metres—ideal when the drive sits in a motor hut but the PLC is in a distant cabinet. The conformal-coated PCB laughs at condensation and dust, works from –20 °C to +60 °C, and is hot-pluggable: swap it without shutting the inverter. Front LED shows power/link status at a glance, and the board needs only the 24 V already on the drive—no extra power bricks or gateways. One board, one colour-coded SC cable, and your point-to-point link is up in minutes, saving copper, space and commissioning time.
