Summary
The FS450R17KE3/AGDR-72CS is a bolt-on IGBT kit that combines Infineon’s 1700 V/450 A EconoPACK+ module with ABB’s AGDR-72CS gate-driver board. Delivering 605 A at 25 °C with only 2.45 V saturation drop, it targets high-power ABB ACS800/ACS6000 inverter legs for fans, pumps, compressors and traction drives. The driver provides ±15 V gate power, built-in desaturation, over-temperature and short-circuit protection, while the 24 V logic interface keeps control cabinets simple. Its –40 °C … +125 °C silicon rating and compact 162 × 150 mm footprint let designers shrink panel size without derating—ideal for wind turbine nacelles, marine drives or any plant that needs megawatt-level switching in a 0.65 kg plug-and-play package.
