3BHL000986P3016 5STP1752H0002 is ABB’s fast-switching “crowbar” thyristor that protects MV drives and generators. It blocks 4.2 kV and handles 1 520 A average current, yet turns on in <2 µs to dump excess energy and save the rest of your power stack. The 51 mm “hockey-puck” package needs only 2.5 kg of force for clamping, works from –40 °C to +125 °C, and is UL/CE recognised. Drop it into your existing ABB stack, torque the two bolts, and you get maintenance-free over-voltage protection without extra fuses or wiring.
