3BHB013088R0001 5SHY3545L0010 is ABB’s 4.5 kV, 4 kA Integrated Gate-Commutated Thyristor (IGCT) press-pack that acts as the main “on/off switch” inside ACS1000 and ACS6000 medium-voltage drives. It turns on in <2 µs, blocks 4.5 kV and conducts 4 000 A average (40 kA surge), yet the 120 mm “hockey-puck” package is only 1 kg and needs just two bolts for mounting—no grease, no springs, no torque wrenches. The device is built for liquid-cooled stacks, runs junction temps up to 125 °C and survives 3.6 kV rms isolation, so it shrinks inverter size and boosts reliability in steel mills, mines, wind turbines and marine drives. Swap it hot if you have to; the gate driver fiber-optic link auto-configures, and the built-in over-current and over-temperature protection keeps the rest of your power stack safe.
