The emergency shutdown systems are being installed as part of a refinery modernization program. The new systems replace existing relay panels, designed to simplify maintenance and enhance asset availability, safety, and efficiency. Invensys Process Systems Brazil will provide a wide range of services, including configuration, testing, commissioning, start-up, and training. For the Paulinia refinery, Invensys is providing all basic and detailed engineering services throughout the safety systems project. The solutions were selected due to the reliability and high availability of the Triconex TMR design, along with extensive Invensys support dedicated to Petrobras. The Duque de Caxias Refinery has an installed capacity of 242,000 barrels per day, producing lubricants, gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, and bunker oil among 52 different products. The Paulinia Refinery has an installed capacity of 360,000 barrels per day, primarily producing diesel, gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, coke, asphalt, and turpentine.   Triconex TMR Technical Features: The Triconex TMR technology employs three isolated, parallel control systems, integrated with extensive diagnostics. The system uses two-out-of-three voting to ensure high integrity, error-free, uninterrupted process operation.
